THE OTHER ARTISTS
Gianluca Livi
Gianluca Livi is a journalist, a musical reviewer and a rock percussionist. He writes for many musical magazines. Since 2015 he has been editor-in-chief of the Artists and Bands webzine. Co-founder of the Anno Mundi hard & heavy band, in 2011 and 2013 publishes two vinyls, featuring members of bands such as Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Ezra Winston, Graal, Rondò Veneziano. In his first solo album, Fleeting Steps (published in July 2017 by Eclectic Productions), he puts aside his Hard & Heavy Rock origins, becoming interested in cross-referenced - to Ambient and Experimentation - musical genres.
Stefano Pontani
Sound engineer and technician, exquisite composer and, above all, well respected guitarist, Stefano boasts a past in Prog and Fusion bands. With the VU-Meters he performs pieces between the Pink Floyd and the most cryptic King Crimson, moving through stylistic experimentation near to the Djam Karet and the dreamlike atmospheres of the early Porcupine Tree. He is active in the Ezra Winston (unanimously acknowledged among the pioneers of the Italian new-prog movement) and the Anagramma (Fusion over the Seventies and the Eighties, with frequent homages to the jazz-originated virtuoso guitar) bands. Together with the Matilda Mothers Project, he makes the o.s.t. of L’ultima Lezione, a Golden Globe Award winner movie.
Stefano Pontani is the only artist able to translate the geophysical data into music, converting the geological sound into musical notes.
His music has been published by Progressivamente, Eclectic Productions, Rock Simphony, Terre Sommerse, SanLucaSound and Musea, a French editor among the very early indie labels dedicated to the European Progressive Rock and its exportation all over the world.
